Guys I know you don’t know me well enough yet, but I LOVE a great cocktail. As we are approaching the end of summer, I wanted one last taste of the sun before we get all cozied up and pumpkin spiced this fall. Cue THE WATERMELON CRUSH from DE.CO Bar in downtown Wilmington.
Light, sweet, and only 3 ingredients. I got to step behind the bar (my home away from home) and get a tutorial from our bartender, Gavin Pease, before the Happy Hour rush.
1.5 ounces Smirnoff watermelon vodka
3 oz. watermelon puree (or blend from scratch)
Fill shaker with ice.
Add watermelon vodka
Add watermelon puree
SHAKE to blend
Strain over ice in separate glass.
Top off with Sprite (or club if you’re looking to cut down on sugar)
I’m serious, it’s that easy. Make sure to check out our video tutorial HERE and visit DE.CO Bar Monday-Friday, 4-7PM.
